Jesse G. Richheimer is an Associate with the firm’s Environmental Law Group whose practice focuses on a range of matters relating to environmental regulation and litigation under federal and state law.


Prior to joining CSG Law, Jesse clerked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in their Vehicle and Engine Enforcement Branch. In this role, Jesse edited and updated documents concerning defeat devices and illegal tampering with defeat devices on motor vehicles. He summarized reports about warranty provisions under the Clean Air Act (CAA), guidance on biennial performance evaluation requirements for enhanced vehicle inspection and maintenance programs, emission-related terms and definitions, and before-market versus aftermarket defeat device cases. Notably, Jesse presented on the effectiveness of vehicle inspection and maintenance programs between states and the EPA under the Offices of the Inspector General and Transportation and Air Quality.

In addition, Jesse clerked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in their New Jersey Superfund Branch and interned at the New York Department of Environmental Conservation – Region Two Office.

Jesse received his J.D. from Pace University Elisabeth Haub School of Law, where he participated in their National Energy and Sustainability Moot Court Competition, and received an Advanced Certificate in Environmental Law. He earned his B.A. in Environmental Sciences from Emory University, with a secondary concentration in Environmental Sustainability and Management.
