CSG Announces 2020 Promotions

Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (“CSG”) is pleased to announce twelve attorney promotions, five to Member and seven to Counsel, effective January 1, 2020.

“2019 was a special year at CSG, bringing with it record-high headcount and revenue and, now, the largest promotion class in firm history,” said Managing Member Daniel A. Schwartz. “We remain deeply committed to developing a dynamic, productive talent pipeline and, as we build upon this positive trajectory of growth and prosperity, I look forward to our newly-elevated colleagues’ continued contributions to our clients and communities.”

Promotions to Member are as follows:

Lindsay A. Dischley represents employers in all aspects of employment litigation, counsels employers in all aspects of employment law, and conducts internal investigations and training on behalf of employers. Lindsay also regularly litigates a wide range of complex commercial matters, including fraud claims, tortious interference claims, defamation-related claims, partnership and shareholder disputes, and contract related claims. She earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and her B.A. from Loyola University Maryland.

David M. Dugan focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation matters, including real estate, trade secret, and a wide variety of other business disputes, as well as legal malpractice defense and representation of attorneys charged with ethics violations. He earned his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law and his B.S./B.A. from Rutgers University.

Michael K. Plumb represents clients in environmental litigation claims, regulatory and compliance counseling, and enforcement matters. He also represents clients building and permitting new and existing energy infrastructure. Michael earned his J.D. from Columbia University, his M.S.E. from Loyola Marymount University, and his B.S. from the University of Notre Dame.

Abigail J. Remore represents clients in trademark, copyright, and trade dress litigation before various federal courts and in administrative proceedings before the Trademark Trial & Appeal Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She also handles a range of intellectual property (IP) enforcement, licensing, and due diligence matters, as well as matters involving trademark clearance and prosecution. Abby earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and her B.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Mauro G. Tucci Jr. regularly litigates in federal and state courts on a range of complex commercial disputes. Mauro’s experience includes white collar criminal defense, regulatory and administrative matters, labor disputes, and class action defense. He routinely represents health care providers, financial institutions, pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, and public entities. Mauro earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, his M.B.A. from Seton Hall University, and his B.A. from Colgate University.

Promotions to Counsel are as follows:

Neha Bhalani handles all aspects of trademark prosecution, advises clients on domestic and international IP strategy and planning, and has extensive experience prosecuting international trademark registrations before the World Intellectual Property Organization. Further, Neha is involved with policing clients’ IP rights, securing copyright registrations and supporting the IP-related aspects of corporate transactions. She earned her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School and her B.A. from New York University.

Francis M. Giantomasi focuses on white collar criminal defense, corporate investigations, complex commercial litigation, and appellate matters, but has also counseled property management groups, condominium associations and housing cooperatives in various areas and litigated and tried commercial and residential evictions matters. He earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and his B.A. from Wesleyan University.

Scott W. Lichtenstein’s experience spans the representation and defense of sureties and fidelity insurers both out of court as well as in many of the New York and New Jersey federal and state courts. He has assisted clients in defending claims against a wide variety of bonds and policies, and in pursuing loss recovery. Scott earned his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law and his B.A. from Rutgers University.

Brian P. O’Neill’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation and white collar criminal defense. In addition to contract and commercial disputes, his civil practice includes a particular focus on government contracts, successfully representing contractors in bid protests and litigation. In his white collar defense practice, Brian frequently represents corporations and individuals across the healthcare industry in investigations concerning allegations of kickbacks, false claims, and fraud. He earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and his B.A. from Villanova University.

Lauren R. Tardanico focuses her practice on real estate development, including representation of public and private clients in land use, redevelopment, affordable housing, and eminent domain matters. She regularly appears before planning and zoning boards across the State on behalf of developers in connection with applications for site plan, subdivision, variances, and zoning interpretations. Lauren earned her J.D. from William & Mary Law School and her B.A. from Providence College.

Melissa F. Wernick maintains a diverse practice focusing on complex commercial litigation, white collar criminal defense and internal investigations. Melissa also focuses on healthcare litigation, representing clients in both state and federal courts in New Jersey and New York. Melissa’s extensive experience includes litigating and trying cases in federal and state courts and in a variety of alternative dispute resolution venues. Melissa earned her J.D. from Boston University School of Law and her B.A. from Rutgers University.

Elizabeth C. Yoo has experience in a broad range of corporate transactions and represents clients in mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, stock and asset sales, restructurings, joint ventures and other strategic alliances. Further, she provides general corporate counseling; advises institutional lenders, borrowers and investors; and serves as bond counsel and underwriter’s counsel in public finance transactions involving government entities. She earned her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School and her B.A. from Barnard College.
