Brian Kantar was published in the American Bar Association Fidelity and Surety Law Committee's Fall 2020 Newsletter with an article titled, "Claims Against Sureties Under The Unfair Trade Practices Act And The Unfair Claims Settlement Practices Act." In the article, he examines the history of the model unfair trade practice and unfair claims settlement practice acts (the “Acts”), highlights certain key provisions of the Acts, and evaluates issues that sureties are often required to address under the Acts.
