CSG's Samuel Newbold Named to National Law Journal's Roster of 2020 Immigration Law Trailblazers

Samuel Newbold, Chair of Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC’s (“CSG”) Immigration Law Group, has been named a 2020 Immigration Law Trailblazer by The National Law Journal – a recognition of those helping shape and shepherd the practice of immigration law in the U.S.

“Joining CSG in 2018, Sam brought to the firm a robust, inceptive presence in the immigration law space,” noted Daniel A. Schwartz, CSG’s Managing Member. “In addition to his keen legal acumen and ever-growing practice, he is a valuable member of our Management Committee who brings a truly global perspective to our regional law firm.”

Sam represents companies from all over the country as well as multinational organizations across the globe, providing counsel on employment-related immigration matters as well as corporate compliance best practices. His client base spans a broad range of industries but consists primarily of real estate developers seeking insight into the EB-5 capital raising process as they proceed to transform cities across the region; dynamic start-up and technology businesses that tap Sam in gaining elite talent from abroad; and foreign entrepreneurs and principals looking to launch start-up companies in the U.S. – all of whom benefit from his robust emerging growth companies practice and close ties with several New York City-based accelerators and venture capital firms.

Sam’s many contributions to the field of immigration law have been acknowledged by EB-5 Investors Magazine and New York Metro Super Lawyers, which have recognized him as a “Top 5 Rising Star in EB-5” and “Rising Star” (2014-2020) in the areas of immigration, labor and employment and alternative capital.

Further, as one of the leaders of CSG’s New York City office, Sam has been instrumental in strategically identifying and evaluating new talent across the river. His efforts have paid off, as the firm recently nearly doubled its office space at 11 Times Square to accommodate continued growth.
