CSG's Berkey and Giantomasi Recognized as Leaders in New Jersey's Commercial Real Estate Marketplace by ROI-NJ

Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (“CSG”) is pleased to announce that Mitchell S. Berkey and Francis J. Giantomasi have been named to ROI-NJ’s 2020 Influencers: Real Estate List, which recognizes those who hold key roles within New Jersey’s real estate sector and have proven vital to its enduring success. This year’s list is all the more significant as the individuals listed — representing the development, governmental, professional and financial services, construction and brokerage communities, among others — have been critical towards helping the industry pivot in what’s been a challenging year amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mitch, Chair of CSG’s Real Estate, Development & Land Use Group, has three decades of experience on all sides of the real estate transaction table. As an attorney, he has advised institutional and entrepreneurial real estate owners, managers, lenders, corporate real estate users and foreign governments. As an asset manager, he was responsible for the management of a national portfolio of office, retail, industrial and residential properties.

“When you ask lawyers which of their colleagues have been overlooked on this list, Berkey — the chair of the Real Estate Group at CSG — always is near the top of the list,” the publication noted in reference to Mitch.

Frank, also an attorney with the firm’s Real Estate, Development & Land Use Group and a member of CSG’s Executive Committee, is widely recognized among New Jersey’s leading real estate and redevelopment attorneys, as well as a prominent leader in Newark’s business community. Over the course of his more than three decades in practice, he has become an authority and trusted advisor on real estate planning, zoning and development.

ROI-NJ says of Frank that the “well-respected veteran always is one step ahead: It might be easier to list the Newark projects that Giantomasi is not involved with rather than the ones he is.” Notably, the 2020 list marks the third consecutive year in which Frank has been recognized among the publication’s Real Estate Influencers.
