CSG's Giantomasi Joins The Drumthwacket Foundation Board of Trustees
CSG is pleased to announce that The Drumthwacket Foundation has elected Francis J. Giantomasi to its Board of Trustees. Built in 1835, Drumthwacket is the official residence of New Jersey governors and a nationally landmarked historic site. The Foundation serves to inspire pride and enhance civic awareness for all New Jerseyans by restoring the historic property and by educational and cultural activities that recognize the rich diversity and ongoing contributions of New Jersey’s communities and its residents.
“I am honored and beyond humbled to join the Foundation and to play a role in the future of this historically renowned New Jersey institution,” Frank noted. “I look forward to working with my fellow board members to conserve the Drumthwacket property while aiding in the educational and cultural programs that recognize the rich diversity of New Jersey’s communities and residents.”
In his four decades practicing law, Frank has become a sought-after authority in planning, zoning, and development law, including tax abatement law for the City of Newark and other major cultural hubs. Serving as chief development counsel, Frank has played an influential role in many of the State’s most significant development and redevelopment projects over the past decade. He has also worked closely with several county government bodies – serving as Essex County Counsel, Counsel to the Essex County Board of Freeholders, and Special Counsel to the Essex County Utilities Authority. With his wealth of local insight and expansive network comprised of municipal and business leaders, Frank is ready to help guide the Drumthwacket Foundation in achieving its long-term goals.
The Drumthwacket Foundation, established in 1982, is a 501(c)(3) non-partisan, non-profit organization that acts as curator for the public rooms of the Drumthwacket residence. The Foundation works to acquire many New Jersey-related art and furnishings through loans, gifts, and privately donated funds. It conducts school field trips and public tours for thousands of visitors while continually restoring and preserving the house and gardens each year. Trustees are elected to four-year terms and serve as volunteers.
