CSG's Armen Shahinian Named NJBIZ Icon Honors Award Recipient

Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (“CSG”) is proud to announce that Armen Shahinian, Chair of the firm’s Fidelity & Surety Group and member of its Executive Committee, has been selected as a recipient of NJBIZ’s Icon Honors award, which recognizes New Jersey business leaders over the age of 60 for their notable success and demonstration of strong leadership both within and outside of their chosen field.

Daniel A. Schwartz, CSG’s Managing Member, notes, “The CSG family warmly congratulates Armen, who has dedicated his career to serving the surety industry and contributing to our firm’s prosperity. His pioneering vision and spirit have positively impacted so many – both within our firm and externally – and helped propel the legal practice and business of surety bonding.”

Over the course of his more than 40-year career, Armen has established and developed one of the country’s largest dedicated surety law practices; shared countless insights with sector participants in many distinctive forms; and earned the trust and business of a significant majority of the country’s largest bonding companies, as well as many small and middle market sureties and fidelity insurers in the U.S. The industry veteran’s ongoing commitment and contributions to the fidelity and surety legal community were recognized in 2018 when Armen was honored with the Martin J. Andrew Award, which is the highest award given by the American Bar Association’s TIPS Fidelity and Surety Law Committee and widely considered the pinnacle of achievement for fidelity and surety law practitioners.

Joining the firm only five years after its inception in 1977, Armen is also CSG’s longest-tenured employee. He has witnessed firsthand – and, as a pillar of its Executive Committee, played a major role in shaping – the firm’s remarkable growth trajectory from the less than 10-attorney firm he originally joined over 40 years ago into the more than 170-attorney regional powerhouse it is today. His long-standing internal leadership roles position Armen as a critical bridge between CSG’s legacy roots and its enduring success.

Notably, Armen joins Francis J. Giantomasi (2017), Daniel A. Schwartz (2018) and Dennis M. Toft (2019) among NJBIZ Icon alumni at CSG.

Armen and his fellow Icon honorees will be celebrated during a virtual awards ceremony on June 22.
