CSG Law Cannabis Client Secures New Jersey Dispensary License

Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (“CSG Law”) congratulates another cannabis client – NJ Patients Care LLC – on its successful bid to dispense medical cannabis in northern New Jersey.

NJ Patients Care was one of 30 applicants awarded licensure last week by the state Cannabis Regulatory Commission (“CRC”) to operate a dispensary and sell medical cannabis in the Garden State. The award arrives amid the CRC’s efforts to expand the New Jersey marketplace for medical cannabis patients.

“We are immensely proud of all our clients who have obtained licensure and have absolute confidence that they will hit the ground running to help the State meet the needs of its growing medicinal cannabis patient population,” said CSG Law Cannabis Group leader Lee Vartan.

Earlier this year, two other CSG Law clients – GSCC Management LLC (“GSCC”) and ZY Labs LLC (“ZY”) – secured licenses to cultivate medical cannabis as part of the State’s delayed 2019 Alternative Treatment Center Request for Applications process.

GSCC was awarded a cultivation license in the State’s North region, while ZY earned licensure in the Central region. Initially, ZY was disqualified from the process in December 2019, but that decision was promptly appealed by CSG Law, and, in February 2021, the State’s Appellate Division reversed the disqualification, remanding back to the Department of Health the client’s application for evaluation and consideration as part of the greater slate of RFA applicants.
