CSG Law Welcomes Alan S. Mohl

Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC ("CSG Law") is pleased to announce that Alan S. Mohl, a retired Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), has joined the firm as Special Investigations Counsel with the Litigation Group.

Alan, whose practice focuses on government investigations, white-collar criminal and regulatory defense matters, internal investigations, and complex commercial litigation, adds to CSG Law’s deep bench of eight former federal prosecutors from the District of New Jersey and Eastern District of New York — including former U.S. Senator and New Jersey Attorney General Jeffrey S. Chiesa, and most recent addition, Emil Bove, former co-chief of the national security unit at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY).

Before joining CSG Law, Alan served as an FBI Special Agent for more than 22 years. In this role, he conducted white collar investigations involving complex financial crimes, money laundering, domestic public corruption, and international corruption (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act). Alan also served as Associate Division Counsel for the FBI’s Newark Division. In this role, Alan reviewed requests for the use of the FBI’s most sensitive techniques and provided legal and strategic advice regarding all matters within the FBI’s purview.

Prior to his service with the FBI, Alan was a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas DeMartin, Mercer County Superior Court and a legal assistant at the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.

Alan earned his J.D. from Rutgers Law School and his B.A., in Religious Studies, cum laude, from the University of Rochester.
