Three CSG Law Women Leaders Earn Place Among ROI-NJ's 2022 Influencers: Women in Business

Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (CSG Law) was the law firm with the most women leaders featured on ROI-NJ’s 2022 Influencers: Women in Business list this week. Patricia K. Costello, the firm’s Managing Member, ranked 20th in the state, earning the highest placement of any private practice lawyer on the list. She was joined by Danielle M. Corcione, Executive Committee Member and Government & Corporate Investigations Practice Group Leader, and Marie L. Mathews, Litigation Practice Group Leader and the firm’s Deputy General Counsel, who were recognized as women leaders at the forefront of New Jersey’s business community.

“We are extremely proud of our team at CSG Law, and especially of the three women who earned a place on this prestigious list,” said Francis J. Giantomasi, Member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

“Pat, Danielle and Marie exemplify the firm’s core values, bringing excellence, leadership and empathy to everything they do,” said Jeffrey S. Chiesa, Member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

CSG Law stands out among its peers for retaining, mentoring and advancing women attorneys – 32% of the firm’s members are women, well above the nationwide average for law firms – while women also comprise more than half of the firm’s practice group leaders and C-suite management team.

Patricia Costello was named Managing Member in 2022, becoming the first woman to serve as the leading executive at the firm since its founding 50 years ago. In this role, Pat oversees the operations of the firm which today enjoys more than $96 million in revenues, 175 attorneys and more than 300 employees overall, with offices in two states – New Jersey and New York.

Danielle Corcione has held a number of firm leadership roles and recently joined the Executive Committee as the youngest member ever to serve, highlighting her significant contributions to the firm and industry. She is the Practice Group Leader for the Government & Corporate Investigations Group, focusing her practice on white collar criminal defense, internal investigations, and complex civil litigation.

Marie Mathews, who was named to the inaugural Influencers list last year as well, oversees a team of nearly 50 litigators as the Practice Group Leader for the Litigation Group and is entrusted with developing these attorneys, providing departmental oversight and growing the practice. As Deputy General Counsel, she provides her vision and guidance towards implementing and championing policies that protect the firm’s overall operational well-being.
