CSG Law Welcomes Fall 2022 Class of Incoming Associates

Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (CSG Law) is pleased to announce the arrival of its incoming class of associates. Joining the firm are:

Evelyn Baert (Real Estate, Development & Land Use Group) graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law this past May, was an intern with CSG Law during her 3L year, and will focus her practice on land use. She earned her B.A. from New York University in 2017 and is fluent in French.

Patricia B. Bergamasco (Litigation Group) clerked for the Honorable Zahid N. Quraishi, U.S.D.J., in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the Honorable Richard J. Geiger, J.A.D., in the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division before joining CSG Law. Patricia earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and her B.A. from Ramapo College of New Jersey. She is fluent in Portuguese and proficient in Spanish.

Jennifer L. Garster (Real Estate, Development & Land Use Group) was a summer associate with CSG Law in 2021 and returns to the firm to focuses her practice on real estate financing. Before joining the firm, Jennifer clerked for the Honorable Michael A. Shipp, U.S.D.J. with the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. She earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in May and her B.A. from Loyola University of Maryland in 2019.

Samantha E. Holleritter (Litigation Group) previously served as a law clerk to the Hon. Noah Franzblau in the Superior Court of New Jersey in Morristown where she drafted Statement of Reasons attached to the judge’s decisions for civil motions, conducted legal research and served as a mediator to settle District Court, Small Claims and Landlord Tenant cases. She also worked as a summer associate at a New York law firm where she collaborated with attorneys on FOIL motions involving traffic violations and personal injury litigations and drafted a Petition for Certification. Samantha earned her J.D. from New York Law School, where she was named to the Dean’s Leadership Council and received the Dean’s Leadership Council Scholarship and the Dean’s Scholarship, and her B.A. in Political Science & Criminology from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Irene Karsos (Real Estate, Development & Land Use Group) joins CSG Law following a clerkship with the Hon. Frank J. DeAngelis with the Superior Court of New Jersey in Morris County. Irene earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, and received her B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Law from Binghamton University. Irene will focus her practice on real estate transactions. She is fluent in Greek.

Kelly Kortes (Litigation Group) clerked for the Honorable Nesle A. Rodriguez, with the New Jersey Superior Court, Criminal Division before joining CSG Law. In this role, she drafted judicial decisions involving criminal statutes and procedure, analyzed, and researched evidentiary questions of law, completed sentencing memos, and more. Kelly earned her J.D., cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law, where she was a student attorney for Seton Hall Law’s Center for Social Justice Family Law Clinic. She received her B.A., cum laude, in Politics and Communications from Fairfield University.

Emily Mastrocola (Fidelity & Surety Group) clerked for The Honorable Alan G. Lesnewich, Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division, Civil Part before joining the firm. Emily received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. She earned her B.A., summa cum laude, from Monmouth University.

Colin F. Sauvigne (Litigation Group) served as a law clerk, summer associate and legal assistant at several New York-based law firms prior to joining CSG Law. He earned his J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, and his B.A. in Finance from the Villanova School of Business at Villanova University.

Samantha Weckenman (Family Law Group) served as a law clerk to the Honorable Stephanie Ann Mitterhoff, New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division prior to joining CSG Law. Samantha received her J.D., summa cum laude, from Rutgers Law School and was elected to the Order of the Coif and received the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Award for displaying the highest aptitude for family law in her graduating class. During her time in law school, Samantha was a research assistant, a student attorney for the Rutgers Child Advocacy Clinic, and the Executive Editor for the Rutgers University Law Review. Samantha earned her B.A in Government, cum laude, from Hamilton College.
