Francis J. Giantomasi Reelected to Newark Regional Business Partnership Board of Directors

Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (“CSG”) today announced that named member of the firm Francis J. Giantomasi was recently reelected to serve an additional term on the board of directors of the Newark Regional Business Partnership ("NRBP"). With this reelection, Giantomasi will serve on the board for an additional three years.

NRBP has earned a reputation as the Newark region’s premier business organization due to its diverse, broad-based membership and vast array of frequent activities and events. As one of New Jersey’s top real estate and redevelopment attorneys and a prominent leader in the Newark business community, Giantomasi is uniquely positioned to guide NRBP’s operations.

“This is a critical time for the Newark business community, as the city continues to undergo a large-scale revitalization that will undoubtedly result in its vibrant future,” Giantomasi said. “NRBP’s activities are essential to business growth in Newark.”

Over the course of three decades practicing law, Giantomasi has become a sought-after authority in planning, zoning and development law, including tax abatement law for the City of Newark and other urban areas. Serving as chief development counsel, Giantomasi has played an influential role in many of the Newark area’s most significant recent development and redevelopment projects, including the new 20-story Prudential Tower, Panasonic’s North American headquarters, the Courtyard by Marriott, the $35-million Market Street redevelopment and the development of the new 11-acre, mixed-use Springfield Avenue Marketplace.

In addition to his position on NRBP’s board of directors, Giantomasi currently serves as a trustee for the Essex County Bar Association and was recently elected as vice chair of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center’s board of trustees.

“NRBP’s efforts have never been more focused on delivering member service, providing worthwhile events and advocating for important issues,” said Chip Hallock, president and CEO of NRBP. “Frank’s wealth of local expertise and expansive network in the Newark region have been integral to our organization’s many accomplishments over the years and will be a key part of our continued success.”
