Rapid Growth Continues at Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC with Addition of Six Attorneys

Continuing its rapid growth, Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (“CSG”) is pleased to announce that a group of six attorneys will join the firm effective immediately, further strengthening its corporate transactions, private equity, commercial litigation, and trusts and estates practices.

The firm welcomes:

  • Daniel A. Swick, member focusing in estate planning for high-net-worth individuals, business succession planning, and representation of privately-held businesses

  • Edward B. Stevenson, member focusing in corporate transactions, middle market mergers and acquisitions, private investment funds, and venture capital

  • Paul H. Schafhauser, member focusing in litigation involving real estate, insurance, intellectual property, and business dissolutions

  • Michelle Bergeron Spell, member focusing in representation of high-net-worth individuals in all aspects of estate planning, estate and trust administration, and charitable giving

  • Glenn L. Stein, member focusing in venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, licensing and joint venture transactions, and government relations

  • William F. Healey, counsel focusing in estate planning, estate administration, special needs planning, and representation of charitable organizations

“We are delighted to welcome these six highly respected and accomplished attorneys, whose addition is a testament to our strategic vision for the future and ongoing commitment to our clients,” commented Daniel Schwartz, managing member at CSG.

Jeffrey Chiesa added, “The degree to which the current business landscape demands specificity means that we’re constantly evaluating our needs and looking to bring in the best possible legal talent. Their addition reflects our dedication to delivering personalized, hands-on counsel to our diverse client base.”

Speaking on behalf of CSG’s new members, Edward Stevenson stated: “This is a tremendous opportunity for us to be part of one of the region’s most prominent firms, giving us the capability to serve our clients as a ‘one-stop-shop.’”

“CSG is home to an impressive group of lawyers with an excellent reputation,” added Paul Schafhauser, who joins the firm’s litigation group. “We look forward to helping them gain momentum in already well-established practice areas.”

Including the firm’s new hires, CSG has added 27 attorneys to its roster, representing six percent growth since the beginning of 2015. The firm’s expansion stands in contrast to many other top New Jersey firms, which either contracted or grew slightly during the same period.

“Collaboration is a part of our firm’s cultural DNA,” Frank Giantomasi said. “We welcome these professionals, all of whom embody our approach to working across defined practice areas.”

Armen Shahinian added, “Our new members have proven track records in providing clients with a legal product that reflects original thinking and first-rate craftsmanship.”

All six attorneys join CSG from Herrick, Feinstein LLP.
