Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Elects New Board Chairman, Francis J. Giantomasi, of Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC
Francis J. Giantomasi has been elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey, RWJBarnabas Health facilities.
Mr. Giantomasi, a Member with Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC ("CSG") of West Orange, served as Vice Chair on the Newark Beth Israel Board since 2015. His colleague, Marc E. Berson, will now transition to Chairman Emeritus of the Newark Beth Israel Board and assume the role of Chairman of the Board of Trustees of RWJBarnabas Health, New Jersey’s largest academic health system.
“I am tremendously thankful to Marc for his visionary leadership and major contributions, and am dedicated to working closely with the leadership at Newark Beth Israel and RWJBarnabas Health to continue to position this anchor institution as a catalyst for change during this unprecedented era of growth in Newark,” said Mr. Giantomasi.

Mr. Giantomasi is a recognized leader among New Jersey’s leading real estate and redevelopment attorneys. His wealth of localized experience in economic development in the city of Newark, as well as his extensive network, will be key assets for him in his new position.
In addition, CSG’s Healthcare Group will serve as a valuable resource for Mr. Giantomasi to draw upon for continued guidance as Newark Beth Israel Medical Center continues to set the highest standards for delivering excellent, compassionate clinical care.
