Social Media for your Business: The Good, Bad & Ugly

Melissa Salimbene and Lindsay Dischley will be presenting on "Social Media for your Business: The Good, Bad & Ugly" on September 12, 2019 from 8:30-10:30am. The presentation will be held at ADP's office located at 99 Jefferson Road in Parsippany, New Jersey.

The presentation will focus on: 

• Educating employers as to the benefits of using social media, including how to lawfully use social media for: recruiting potential employees, in making hiring decisions, marketing, monitoring employees and networking.

• Advising employers as to potential pitfalls of using social media in hiring, disciplining and terminating employees.

• Teaching employers how to protect the company from its employees’ use of social media, including discussing the importance of implementing social media policies, how to ensure the company owns its social media accounts and content, and how to best prevent competitors and former employees from poaching the company’s clients and current employees through social media.

This program is pending approval by the Board of Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 2.1 hours of total CLE credit and 2.0 reciprocal credits in New York.
